Dr. Stella Zounta holds a PhD in Management Accounting from the Department of Business Administration at the University of Patras and a Master’s degree in Tourism Planning, Management, and Policy from the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program of the University of the Aegean in Chios.
Since January 2012, she has been a Lecturer in Accounting–Costing (Government Gazette 1068/12.12.11, Part C) in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean. She teaches courses including Management Accounting (undergraduate and postgraduate Business Administration programs), Costing A, Costing B, Accounting A, and Accounting B. From February 2008 to September 2011, she served as a contract lecturer (P.D. 407/80) in the same department, teaching the same courses in her area of specialization.
Her research interests focus primarily on Costing and Budgeting (Management Accounting) in service enterprises, with an emphasis on the hotel industry, as well as the study of social networks in accounting. Her professional experience includes work in a multinational auditing firm, specifically in external auditing and financial reporting. She is a member of the Economic Chamber of Greece, the European Accounting Association, and the HFAA (Hellenic Finance and Accounting Association).
