Andreas Andrikopoulos is a Professor at the Department of Maritime Studies of the University of Piraeus, where he serves as Director of the MSc Sustainable Blue Economy. He holds a bachelor’s degree and a PhD from the Athens University of Economics and Business and a master’s degree (MSc) from the University of Warwick. He has served as Professor of Finance, CEO of the Property Development Company and Director of the Executive MBA program at the University of the Aegean. His textbook “The essentials of social finance” has been published by Routledge (2021). His research interests include shipping finance, social finance, financial management, accounting, corporate governance, ESG, epistemology and scientometrics. His work has been published in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Econometrics, the Journal of Corporate Finance and the Cambridge Journal of Economics.
