Dr. Aristeidis Samitas

External Associate - Professor

Dr. Aristeidis Samitas is a Professor in the Department of Business Administration, School of Management and Economics, at the University of the Aegean. He is a graduate of the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and holds an MSc in Money, Banking and Finance from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom, as well as a PhD in Finance from the Department of Economics of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. He has also conducted postdoctoral research in Finance at City University of London.

He has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the Department of Economics of the University of Athens, the Department of Economics of the University of Thessaly, the Hellenic Open University, and the corresponding Economics Departments of the Universities of Sheffield, City, and Wales. He is a member of scientific associations and serves as a reviewer for international journals. His studies and articles have been published in international scientific journals and edited volumes such as the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Applied Financial Economics, The Manchester School, Research in International Business and Finance, Journal of Policy Modeling, Small Business Economics, Journal of Economic Integration, among others.

His academic interests include Financial Analysis and Business Administration, Econometrics, Portfolio Management, Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Entrepreneurship, and Banking.
