Dr. Konstantinos Koutsikos

Associate Professor

Dr. Konstantinos Koutsikos specializes in improving business performance and competitiveness, with an emphasis on Service Development and Innovation Management. This specialization stems from his graduate studies in the United States, as well as his professional and academic career in international organizations and companies across America, Asia, and Europe. His international professional experience focuses on strategic planning, implementation, and management of large-scale projects for the development of electronic services (eService lifecycle management) and innovation structures (corporate entrepreneurship, business incubation).

As an executive at the multinational consulting firm PA Consulting Group (London, UK), he was responsible for creating and promoting related consulting services to senior executives of American, British (FTSE-100), and European organizations (UBS Private Banking, Credit Suisse Private Banking, NM Rothschilds, Merrill Lynch, WPP, BT Ireland, G4S Securicor, etc.). Dr. Koutsikos has also collaborated with startups and venture capital funds in the USA and Greece.

His international academic career is closely linked to his professional experience. He has worked as a researcher in innovation management and electronic services at Stanford University (Palo Alto, USA), USC Information Sciences Institute (Los Angeles, USA), and NTT (Tokyo, Japan). His research has been funded by American and European institutions (NASA, DARPA, European Commission) and has been reviewed by leading international scientific journals and conferences.

In parallel, he has held significant administrative positions in academia, serving as a member of the University Senate, committee member of the Senate, and executive in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit at the University of the Aegean. Dr. Koutsikos is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean. He holds an MBA and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Southern California, USA, and an MS in Computer Science from Stanford University, USA.

His experience has been recognized by international organizations (W3C, European Commission), reputable publications (Financial Times), and three international honor societies of which he is an elected member. He has lived and/or worked in the USA, Japan, the UK, Switzerland, Ireland, and Greece, and is an active member of international fora and organizations (Order of AHEPA, World Affairs Councils of America – Los Angeles Council, Stanford Club, European Academy of Management, UK Institute of Directors).
