Dr. Evanthia Zervoudi works as an Assistant Professor of Finance in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean. Dr. Zervoudi holds a five-year Diploma (equivalent to an MSc) in Applied Mathematics and Physical Sciences from the National Technical University of Athens, a Master’s degree (MSc) in International and European Economics and Finance, an MPhil, and a PhD in Economics and Finance from the Athens University of Economics and Business. She has extensive teaching experience across a wide range of courses in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, and Econometrics at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She has worked as an Assistant Professor and as a Special Scientist in Teaching and Research at various universities, including the Athens University of Economics and Business, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, the Hellenic Mediterranean University, Neapolis University Pafos, and the University of the Aegean.
She has published work in peer-reviewed international scientific journals (articles in international journals and refereed newspapers), in books, edited scientific volumes, and conference proceedings in her fields of interest, which include Classical and Behavioral Finance, Prospect Theory and Cumulative Prospect Theory, Portfolio Management, Risk Management, Decision-Making under Risk and Uncertainty, Financial Management, Financial Econometrics, ESG securities, Computational Economics and Finance, Derivatives, Securities Valuation, and Banking.
She has collaborated with research laboratories such as Eurolab of the Athens University of Economics and Business and the Laboratory of Accounting and Financial Management of the Hellenic Mediterranean University, and she is a scientific associate of the Laboratory of Financial and Banking Studies and Education (EMECHT / FiBaLab) of the University of the Aegean. She has participated as a Researcher and Special Scientific Advisor, with extensive research and consultancy work in economic, financial, and banking projects. She works extensively in economic and financial modeling using quantitative and econometric methods, as well as mathematical optimization techniques.
