Dr. Niki Glaveli is a Professor specializing in “Social Responsibility in Human Resources and Customer Relations” in the Department of Business Administration at the University of the Aegean. She holds a degree in International and European Economic Studies from the Athens University of Economics and Business, a Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Birmingham, and two PhDs in Business Administration and Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior from the University of Macedonia and Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, respectively. During her first PhD, she was a scholar of the Onassis Public Benefit Foundation, and for the second, she received the 2014 Emerald/EFMD Outstanding Doctoral Research Award in the Human Resource Management category from the journal Personnel Review.
She has taught numerous undergraduate and postgraduate courses, including Sociology, Strategic Management, Service Management, Human Resource Management, Organizational Theory and Organizational Behavior, Management and Gender: Women’s Entrepreneurship, Change Management, Corporate Social Responsibility, Social Entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurship and Innovation. She has supervised postgraduate theses at several institutions, including the University of the Aegean, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, University of Macedonia, Hellenic Open University, Open University of Cyprus, and University of the Peloponnese.
Her work has been presented at international conferences, and she has published and served as a reviewer for reputable journals such as Tourism Management, European Management Review, International Journal of Human Resource Management, International Journal of Quality and Reliability Management, European Business Review, Managerial Finance, Health Service Management, and Managing Service Quality. She is the author of a book and chapters in edited volumes and has participated as principal investigator or scientific coordinator in numerous funded research projects.
Her research interests focus on Strategic Behavior and Development of Enterprises (private, public, and social sectors), Strategic Human Resource Management, Organizational Behavior, and Corporate Social Responsibility.
